Sea Breeze @ Koh Mak is a small, stylish bungalow resort located on a ridge overlooking Ao Nid bay on Koh Mak.

There are a total of nine modern bungalows which have all the expected home comforts. They aren’t the most spacious rooms on the island, but are immaculately clean and well maintained. Plus they have amazing views south towards Koh Kood.

For the best views book one of the Panorama rooms, well worth the extra if you enjoy watching the sun go down in the evening from your terrace. Also on site are an infinity pool and excellent Thai restaurant, which draws in guests from across the island.

Sea Breeze guests will find everything they need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The staff have earned a reputation for being some of the most efficient on the island and the resort itself is regarded as a hideaway for an inexpensive, peaceful vacation on Ko Maak.

Ao Kao White Sand Beach Resort

Ao Kao White Sand Beach Resort is a small family-run resort that lies on, and is named after, one of most beautiful beaches on Koh Mak.

They are one of the pioneers in tourism on Koh Mak and the owner of Ao Kao White Sand Beach Resort established the first ever resort on the island many years ago. There is a 5 km long sandy beach right in front of the resort. The 25 bungalows are built among a lush decades old coconut plantation. There is a restaurant and a internet cafe and various outdoor sports are possible.

The resort has been welcoming travelers from all over the world for the past 17 years. It is especially liked by European travelers (Scandinavian, German etc). Families and privacy lovers in particular enjoy our large, safe and natural surroundings. That’s why it’s some times not easy to find the resort, as it is not located in the immediate proximity of any pier, but don’t worry the resort staff will pick you up when you arrive on the island.

Ao Kao White Sand Beach Resort is well known for the variety of sports and activities that are provided for guests – eg. Indoor badminton Court, Tennis Court, Trampolining, Kayaking, Mountainbike Hire, Kid’s playground, Table Football etc. To help you stay in contact with the outside world there is also free wifi internet at the resort.

Accommodation is in a variety of bungalows some more traditional Thai style, others modern concrete bungalows. All have a balcony, AC and bathroom with hot water shower plus TV, DVD, minibar etc. to the restaurant and beach. Baan Koh Mak Resort

Baan Koh Mak is ideally situated in the centre of Ao Kao Beach on the southwest shore of Koh Mak. The 18 bright and airy bungalows were totally renovated and remodelled in 2013 and are built around a central garden area with virtually all rooms having a view of the sea from the balcony. The rooms are quite small, but if you plan to be out and about all day they have everything you need – a double bed, western bathroom with hot water shower and airconditioning.

On the beachfront you’ll find the resort’s ‘Beach Cafe’ which is open from early morning until late night. In the evening an outdoor restaurant and cocktail bar is set up on the beach. There’s also a beach volleyball court if you fancy some exercise in the sun. As you’d expect sea kayaks can be hired and the resort can arrange all trips, tours and motorbike rental. The main road runs past the rear of the resort and lining it you’ll find several shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk.

If you want a mid-price AC bungalow with excellent restaurant and cheap cocktails to hand then you can’ t really go wrong here. The bungalows are well under 2,000 Baht / night in High Season
