The Suchanaree huts provide a very laid back, relaxed place to stay right on the beach. It’s a small simple family run operation. with six wooden huts. The huts themselves have no frills but they are clean and have an attached bathroom. They are no frills with a mattress on the floor and mosquito net but thee main attraction of Suchanaree is the idyllic location. It’s on the prettiest part of Ao Suan Yai Beach. The huts themselves are set back 20 metres from the beach in the coconut plantation.
If you are on a budget and just want a beautiful quiet beach to laze on then this is a great choice. The huts go for around 500 Baht/night. The main downside is that there aren’t many options when it comes to eating and drinking. The resort has a small restaurant and Koh Mak Resort is close by, but other than that you’ll need to rent a scooter or undertake a 30 minute walk to get to the busier southwest facing beach if you want to shop or eat elsewhere.
This resort can’t be booked via Booking.com or Agoda.com and they don’t have a website. The resort’s email is: < Alisa_1114@hotmail.com >
